Acclaimed AC / Country Artist Jimmy White Wins Awards From Both the Independent Music Network and New Music Weekly Magazine

2011 is off to a great start for AC / Country artist Jimmy White with the announcements that he was named 2010’s “Best Male Artist” by the Independent Music Network, and has also won New Music Weekly Magazine’s 2010 “AC Group / Duo of the Year” award with duet partner Jonell Mosser for their recent chart topping duet, “Just What I Need.”

This is White’s second consecutive “Best Male Artist” win from the Independent Music Network, with his first win coming in 2009. Additionally, White has previously won two New Music Weekly Awards, winning “Crossover Artist of the Year” in 2007 and again in 2009.

White’s current single, “Katy Did,” is quickly becoming one of White’s fastest-growing single releases. Released to AC and Country stations in October of last year, the single has blazed up the FMQB AC chart to the #11 position. “Katy Did” is also turning out to be White’s strongest performing Country single to date, becoming his first single to chart on the national “Music Row” Country Charts. Airplay continues to grow rapidly on both AC and Country charts, and the single is being sent out to Billboard/Mediabase AC Top 40 radio stations. White’s previous single, “Just What I Need,” reached # 38 on Billboard’s AC Top 40 in 2010.
White’s video for “Katy Did” has just been serviced to video networks across the US and is receiving worldwide exposure on multiple digital music video sites.
