Award winning AC/Country artist, Jimmy White delivers his new duet “Just What I Need”, featuring critically acclaimed artist, Jonell Mosser

White’s new single is being released to AC and Country radio in March, 2010. It’s available through PlayMPE and on CDX 495.  The single is from White’s upcoming 2-disc CD Release, “Two Cities”.

Highlighting this duet will be a cutting edge animated music video produced by the New Jersey based animation studio, Tres3D.
In a recent interview with the Independent Music Network, White commented on how he was able to work with Jonell on his new duet, “Just What I Need”.  “I loved Jonell’s version of “Stop In The Name of Love” from the movie “Hope Floats”. In fact, it’s my favorite “cover” ever and she was my favorite female singer. When I expressed a desire to work with her, my Nashville guys went “on a mission”, tracked her down and convinced her to give it a shot, which was not easy! I mean, she had an album produced by Don Was (!) and who was I? But we became friends almost immediately and she nailed “Need” in 2 takes, never having even heard the song before. That’s talent. With her performance, she turned a “good” record into a GREAT one and I will be forever grateful to her for that.
On being asked if he was surprised that he was getting both Mainstream radio and Country radio airplay on “Just What I Need”, White said, “No, not really. Country radio has become the home for great songwriting and, great songs, for melody and for true human emotion… what once existed on pop radio, but no longer does to the same extent. “Just What I Need” has all those things, so it’s really two kindred spirits coming together.
