New Jersey Adult Contemporary Star Jimmy White Adds His Fourth IMN “Favorite Mainstream Male Artist” Award His Shelf

Jimmy White won his fourth straight “Favorite Mainstream Male Artist” award at last night’s Independent Music Network (IMN) awards show held in Los Angeles, CA.

White has been the winner of the Favorite Male Artist award in each of the four years that the IMN Awards have been in existence and White is also the most awarded artist in the history of the IMNs.

“It is such an honor to receive wonderful recognition from my peers and the music industry,” gratefully expresses White.  “I am very grateful for the positive feedback I receive from doing something I love, which is making music.”

In his impressive thirty year career, White has reached #1 more than a dozen times on the Independent AC Charts and five times on the National AC charts. White has also charted four times in the Billboard AC Top 40 and five times in the FMQB AC Top 10.

Along with his chart success, White is having success with his current animal awareness video, “Good Friends Are Hard to Find”.  The heart-warming video reached more than 1.75 Million views on YouTube in the past year.   White wrote and recorded Good Friends Are Hard to Find, as a tribute to his furry friend Smoke. White says, “Good Friends Are Hard to Find was written when I knew I had just a little time left with my cat Smoke, who was fading with complications resulting from diabetes.  It was my ode to a friend who had been beside me through some tough times.”  Good Friends Are Hard to Find is available at http://www.youtube.com/user/jimmywhitemusc.

White’s latest project is a 26 song, double disc album titled, Two Cities.  Recorded in both Buffalo, NY and Nashville, TN, Two Cities as White describes, was a musical civil war when compiling the songs for the album.  “Both great, both unique, but from two different planets,” explains White.  “Buffalo is Northeast, gritty, in your face, simple and real, while Nashville is genteel, polite, polished and masterfully professional.”

Two Cities was released on 828 Records and is now available in stores, as well as on iTunes, Amazon and many other digital distributors. Jimmy White’s new album, “My Mom Joined The Circus”, is scheduled for release this summer.
